You are aware that your wheel loader works very hard and well. When a wheel loader works diligently, its engine gets hot. When you get hot, your body automatically starts sweating to cool you down so that you can continue to work. You only have to drink some water to replenish the water lost by sweating. On the other hand, construction machines need a cooling device that removes heat that has built up inside the machine and release it from the machine. The engine coolant in the cooling device functions to remove the built-up heat. The water that humans drink after sweating has to be free from dirt or harmful substances that would make you sick, but it also needs to contain some salt and minerals. In a similar manner, the engine coolant has to be clean, yet has to have some ingredients that prevent corrosion and protect the engine itself.

A: As can be seen from the fact that engine coolants were referred to as anti-freeze fluid in the past, the earlier versions were fluids with additives that were less apt to freeze. The present day coolant also contains additives such as those to prevent engine and radiator corrosion as well as cavitation. Since devices such as the engine, radiators, and oil coolers are in the cooling system, the coolant comes into contact with many kinds of material including seals at the connections of those devices. Reason you need to use manufacturer-recommended, genuine products
A: While most passenger cars use a petroleum engine, a wheel loader working in far more harsh condition operates on a diesel engine. Because of this, be sure to use the diesel engine coolant recommended by the manufacturer.
Since a diesel engine deals with impacts and shocks higher than that of a petroleum engine during the combustion stage, the cylinder liners vibrate a lot. This tends to cause cavitations in the contacting coolant that in turn causes the cylinder liners to be damaged. This is the reason why you need additives that prevent the coolant from creating cavitations. Also, because of the high engine load of the wheel loader, the coolant has to deal with a large amount of heat exchange which in turn accelerates the coolant deterioration. Coolant concentrations in summer and winter
A: One of the functions of a coolant is corrosion prevention. The concentration has to be 33% or higher for that function to work. Be sure to keep the concentration at this level or higher even in summer.
A coolant of too high a concentration, however, could lead to overheating. Follow the operation manual to use a coolant of the correct concentration based on the outdoor temperatures in winter.
A:Use soft water (pure or tap water) as the coolant water. Do not use strong acid or alkaline water.If hard water is added to LLC, there is a poissiblity, it’s minerals and LLC additives could undergo a chemical reaction and could not obtain the effective additives of LLC (anti-corrosion, antifoam or to avoid oxidizing).Or the engine or radiator would clog by LLC’s deposit.
